Mexico, 1864, Eagle (2nd Period), 8r red, horizontal strip of five, Jalapa, wide margins, in combination with 1864, Eagle (2nd Period), 2r yellow + 4r green, all cons 132-1864 and tied by "Jalapa, Setbre 6" cds's (Schatzkes 596) on 1864 registered cover front to Puebla, with straight line "Certificacion" handstamp alongside and oval handstamps at top and bottom (Schatzkes 597 & 601); front with a couple minor erosion spots and 2r stamp slightly reduced at right, F.-V.F., only 100 sent of the 4r and 8r issues, illustrated in Pietsch Imperial Eagles of Mexico 1864-66 (page 25).
