1861-66 (1875 Re-issue), 5¢ brown, well centered with large margins, deep rich color on brilliant white paper, bold 1885 dated oval duplex cancel, fresh and Extremely Fine, ex-Golden Oak; with 1981 and 2014 P.F. certificates.

A RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 5¢ 1861 RE-ISSUE IN OUTSTANDING QUALITY.

There were 10,000 stamps of the 5¢ Re-Issue printed (100 impressions from the new plate of 100). Only 672 of the 5¢ were sold, the remaining 9,328 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
