Whittemore & Co. Publishers. Boston." imprint, red "Boston, Mass, Oct 14" cds on 1861 off-white cover to Spencer Mass.; reduced slightly at left, Very Fine; with 2017 P.F. certificate.

A RARE PATRIOTIC 1860 BEARDLESS LINCOLN CAMPAIGN ENVELOPE.

The beardless Lincoln design was used for the 1860 Presidential Campaign. Whittemore & Co. added the American flags and caption in a separate printing process to create this exceptional Civil War patriotic design.
