Keyhole, bold strikes on 6¢ carmine (148) and 15¢ bright orange (152), each with rich color, small faults, Very Fine and choice strikes. Estimate $500 - 750.
There is only one recorded cover bearing the Pottsville Pa. "Keyhole" cancel dated August 1st 1871 to Spain. The cancels are always struck carefully to avoid the vignette profiles, which of course, was the intention in the design of the cancel.
