Plimpton Envelope Co., 1877, 1¢ Black on White Card, Drawing Essay, Drawing in black ink and wash with Liberty head and part of border of stamp in lead pencil, 131 x 78mm border line, on 158 x 95mm horizontally laid cardstock watermarked "Centennial" in an arc 95 x 11 mm in Roman capital double and single line letters with crossed spears tied with ribbons and "1776 Centennial 1876" in similar letters repeated in an arc through the center, signed ink "Chapman and Bloomer, N.Y." at lower left, F.-V.F. Scott No. UX5E.
