1865 (Nov. 15) East Cleveland Oh. to Oughterard, Ireland, cover with "East Cleveland, Ohio, Nov 15" origin cds and 12¢ black (69) horizontal pair, attractive magenta cross-hatch cancels, tied by red "New-York Am. Pkt. '3' Nov 19" credit exchange cds updated by black "New York, Am. Pkt. '12' Nov 19" debit exchange cds and matching framed "Short Paid" handstamp, manuscript "48 cts due" rating, carried by Inman Etna from New York Nov. 19th to Queenstown arriving Dec. 2nd, reverse with Galway (12.4.65) and Oughterard arrival cds, bold strike of Galway "S 2/." due handstamp; small flaws, Fine and scarce short paid use, ex-Gliedman.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

This letter was initially rated as single 24¢ rate, but deemed over-weight and marked short paid, Partial payment was not accepted and treated as completely unpaid.
