Mexico, 1879, Foreign Mail 1st Issue (Juarez), 5c orange, Mazatlan, double cons "4781" error for "2781" (stamps intended for Ciudad Victoria were missent to Mazatlan that used them anyway), s.e. at left, tied by violet "Culiacan, 5 Jul, 1881" oval postmark (Schimmer Sin 18/1) on mining company corner card cover to Virginia City, Nev., San Francisco transit backstamp, Very Fine.

The sender Las Yedras Mining Company was a large mining company. The addressee Richard Kirmin was an attorney in the mining city, Virginia City, then near its peak of production. His son, Richard Kerman became Mayor of Reno, then Governor of Nevada.
