"Sweetwater, Nev.", straight-line handstamp in violet with manuscript date 3/2/1888 on 2¢ brown entire with company frank to San Francisco, struck on arrival with "Wells, Fargo & Co./San Francisco" oval handstamp in similar violet ink, docketed on rear "3/5/'88" (1888), reduced a bit at right from opening, Very Fine, the only known handstamp from Wells Fargo's Sweetwater office. Estimate $200 - 300.
