(Vermont) "Montpelier, Vermont" 1815 War Rates, correspondence pair to famous lawyer and politician Norman Williams of Woodstock, each with scarce dotted oval postmark, first with red manuscript "March 17" dating and "15" cent rating, second with manuscript "April 7" dating and "15" cent rating, Very Fine pair with War Surcharge rates.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Norman Williams graduated from the University of Vermont and served in the War of 1812. He also served as Secretary of State and was Secretary of the Vermont Senate.
