1868 (Nov. 18) Philadelphia Pa. to London, England, cover bearing 12¢ black, E grill (90), crisp shade, tied by fancy "F" foreign mail cancel (Barwis PFM 68-4), purple "Phil'a Paid All, Nov 18" cds, carried by Cunard Line Java from New York Nov. 18th to Queenstown arriving Nov. 27th, red London Paid (11.28) arrival cds also ties stamp, oval "David Taylor & Sons London" forwarder's handstamp; expertly repaired tear at top of cover and backflap replaced, still a Very Fine cover with the forwarder's marking, ex-Vogel.
