J. Bamber & Cos. Express, San Leandro Cal., partial strike of blue "San Leandro" straightline on 3¢ pink (U58) entire to Essex Conn., blue "J. Bamber & Cos. Express, S.F. Oct 30" double-circle datestamp and blue "Wells Fargo & Co., San Francisco, Oct 30" oval datestamp cancels indicia, entered mails with partial "Omaha City, Neb. Nov 13" cds duplexed with unusual fancy cork cancel on indicia, uprated with 3¢ rose (65) cancelled by matching strike of cancel; reduced slightly at right, Very Fine and interesting conjunctive use.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

By the end of 1867, a large portion of eastbound stagecoach mail was being deposited at the Union Pacific Railroad terminus at Omaha City Nebr. From there, the mail was carried to its destination.
