San Francisco, Dec 19, 1868, sender's datestamp on 3¢ pink (U59) buff entire with printed "Wells Fargo & Co., Paid" printed frank to Hamburg, Germany bearing 12¢ black (69) and 15¢ Black (77), each tied by New York Foreign mail bold leaf fancy cancels, Wells, Fargo & Co. blue "Paid Through" handstamp, red "New York Paid All, Br. Packet, Jan 1" exchange cds, carried by Cunard Line Russia from New York Jan. 6th to Queenstown arriving Jan. 15th, red "Verviers Coeln Franco" four-line transit; slightly reduced at right, 12¢ slightly affected from placement, Very Fine, ex-Vogel.
