1861, 30¢ orange, well centered, tied by bold "Cincinnati, O., Jun 23" cds and target duplex on cover to Thal, Switzerland, red "New York, Paid All, Br. Transit, Jun 26" exchange cds, transit and receiving backstamps, with original enclosure on illustrated "Cincinnati & Covington Suspension Bridge" view letterhead, Extremely Fine, a wonderful cover and illustrated letterhead.

This bridge was the immediate previous project of John Roebling who designed and built the Brooklyn Bridge. the Cincinnati & Covington Suspension Bridge was the world's longest suspension bridge at the time it was finished.
