Ecuador, 1871, 1r yellow, bluish paper, horizontal strip of three, margins large to touching with small corner flaw at top right, in combination with 1865, ½r pale ultramarine on Judicial wrapper to Ambato, tied by neat dotted lozenge cancel with matching "Guaranda, 6 Janv" cds alongside, manuscript "6½ oz" weight notation, Very Fine and attractive, this being the second largest recorded multiple of 1r yellow on blued paper on cover, ex-Longhi; with 2011 Moorhouse certificate.
