Richard Parker (1810-1893) was a 19th century politician, Lawyer and Judge from Virginia. During his capacity as Judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit of Virginia from 1851 to 1869, he pronounced the death sentence for abolitionist John Brown, who was captured at Harpers Ferry after his unsuccessful attempt to raise an insurrection in 1859.
