Confederacy, 11-Star "T" Flag Lettersheet, red and blue flag patriotic design with "T" for Tennessee and "To arms! to arms, ye brave" verse, on lettersheet datelined "Union City Tennessee, August 4" with some interesting content "…I think we will stay here about two weeks and then go to Missouri. They are all getting well now … We are got the ex-governor of Illinois here. We taken him off the cars night before last. We are in 30 miles of Cairo and in four miles of Kentucky. She holds her election Monday next … They are six thousand here now. We have cannons here, so if the Yankees were to com e down on the cars, we could soon stop them…" and signed by Thomas W. Deese; light toning and some ink stains, F.-V.F.
