1911, 3¢ deep violet, S.L. watermark, the "Orangeburg" coil, wavy line machine cancel, attractively centered for this notoriously off-centered issue with design centered to top yet well clear, rich deep color, small usual flaws with tiny unobtrusive repair, F.-V.F. appearance; with 1995 P.F. and 2005 P.S.E. certificates.

A HANDSOME USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1911 3¢ "ORANGEBURG" COIL ISSUE.

A review of known certified examples show that the overall average centering for this issue is fine, with many poorly centered and designs cut into. This issue is so often plagued with creasing and other flaws to many of the known used singles.
