1919, 2¢ carmine rose, type II, rotary press coil waste, perf 11 x 10, o.g., never hinged, unusually deep rich color, wide margins and far better centered than normally encountered in this issue, pristine Post Office freshness, F.-V.F., only one graded higher in the grade of 80; with 1986 P.F. & 2013 P.S.E. certificates, the latter Graded (F-VF 75, SMQ $7,200).

1923, 1¢ green, rotary press sheet waste, perf 11, wavy line machine cancel, particularly well centered for this notoriously off-centered issue, strong vivid color, Very Fine; with 1986 & 2018 P.F. certificates.

A CHOICE USED EXAMPLE OF THIS SCARCE 1923 1¢ PERF 11 ROTARY SHEET WASTE ISSUE.

This rare sheet waste issue is the result of a small stack of 1¢ rotary sheets that were run through the perf 11x11 machine that was being used for the flat plate printings at that time. It was not discovered until 1936 when three used examples came to light.
