Offices in China, 1919, 2¢ to $2 complete, tied by neat strikes of "U.S. Postal Service, Shanghai, China, Rec'd, Oct 2, 1920" cds, additional "U.S. Pos. Service, Shanghai, China, Oct. 2 4PM, 1920" duplex cds on European-size registered cover with "Arnhold Brothers & Co., Ltd., Shanghai" flap imprint to Eugene Klein in Philadelphia, reverse with magenta "U.S. Postal Agency, Shanghai, China, Registered, Oct 2, 1920" double-circle, Chicago (11.1) and Philadelphia (11.3) receiving backstamps, Very Fine, ex-Mizuhara, mounted on his exhibit page.

A COLORFUL AND RARE COMPLETE SET OF THE BUREAU-OVERPRINTED OFFICES IN CHINA ISSUE USED ON COVER.

In the Siegel Drucker sale, a similar use from the same correspondence contained the original letter from Theodore Siddall, a stamp dealer, to his famous American colleague, Eugene Klein. Siddall sending ten sets by mail and commenting "the American post office is the least accommodating of all the offices here, and anyway their cancellation is the worst of all".

Justice Dept., 1875 Special Printing, 90¢ purple, overprinted "Specimen", without gum as issued, strong bright color, nicely centered amid well balanced and far better than normally encountered, Very Fine, a choice sound used example of this Special Printing high value, with only 152 sold; with 2021 P.S.A.G. certificate.
