1857, 1¢ blue, type IIIa, position 100R2, centered top left, sharp impression and rich color, cancelled by Jan. 27th town cds, Fine and exceptionally rare position unpriced in Scott, ex-Celler.

This is the only position on Plate 2 that is type IIIa, which is adjacent to Position 99R2 (Type III). These two positions are the only two out of 200 on Plate 2 that are not Type II.
