1857, 1¢ blue, types V & Va, plate 5 reconstruction, partial reconstruction of 1¢ plate 5 stamps neatly arranged on Ashbrook plating pages showing 48 positions with 21 from the left pane comprising eight type V and thirteen type Va,and 27 positions from right pane comprising two type V and twenty-five Type Va, note six curl positions, 12-13R5 horizontal pair and 81/91L5 vertical centerline pair, noteworthy cancels include a red grid, Philadelphia octagon, a few carriers and a single with Boston Paid in grid and part of Aachen framed transit, four type Va with ms. cancels; mixed condition as to be expected, an impressive assembly and nucleus of scarce plate 5 stamps, most verified by Richard Celler.
