United States Collection, 1847-1980's, in Scott National album; starts with 2 5¢ and a 10¢ 1847 issue, good 1851-61's, many used grills, 1869 complete, good Bank Notes, Columbians and Trans-Mississippi complete unused, strong Washington-Franklins, coil singles and pairs, and later. Many duplicates included. Used include: 1 (2), 2, 7, 9-15, 17, 20-24, 27-8, 29, 30A, 31-33, 36, 38, 62B-65, 67-71, 75-78, 85-101, 112-122, 134-8, Bank Notes to 228, 276-78, 312-13, etc., unused include: 3, 30, 37, 39, 123-24, 133, 217, 229, 230-245, 260, 283-84, 285-293, 294-99, 323-30, 369, 397-404, 551-73, etc.; mixed condition early, many nice appearing.

Lot 2398 /o   

United States Collection, 1847-1978, lovely mint and used collection housed in 3 Lighthouse Hingeless Albums with slipcases, the collection is somewhat sparse and used until about 1875 and mainly mint from there onwards, the mint is mixed hinged and never hinged, a few regummed stamps are noted, however most are nice never hinged stamps, the overall quality of the collection is well above the norm with 36 stamps which have certificates (all sound), this is an outstanding lot and should be view to appreciated.

United States Better Issues Group, 1847-1929, good to better single sets and multiples on identified on stockpages in binder, starting with unused #1a with double transfer (with cert), o.g. #9 strip of 3, used 1851 10¢ types I & IV, #12 & 17 pair used, 1857 issues including good used 1¢ & 10¢ types, mint #36B (glazed gum) and no gum 30¢ & 90¢, 1861 issues with #62B with red cancel, $67 with nice Paid cancel, #71 & 76 unused, god grills with rare presentable unused #85B, #100 small part o.g. & used #101, selection of mint & used 1869 Pictorials including used 90¢, an array of Banknotes including some good grill, mint multiples, etc., with a mix of later issues mostly mint including n.h. multiples, sets including Kans. & Parcel Post mint, some revenues including scarce inverts; condition mixed with some nice sound items throughout, careful inspection should prove rewarding.

Lot 2400    

United States Mint Collection, 1847-1947, housed in one White Ace binder; the Regular Issues start with mint 1847-51 Imperforate issues, followed by the 1857 Issue, the 1861 Issue, and the 1869 Issue (all with values to the 90¢), there is a nice representation of the Large and Small Banknote Issues, as well as the Bureau and 1902 Regular Issues, plus a small range of Washington-Franklins with a couple of the Dollar values, the 1922 Regular Issues is complete, as is the Kans-Nebr Series, the Commemoratives include Complete 1893 Columbians (except the 8¢), 1898 Trans-Mississippi to the $1, and pretty much all 20th Century Commems including the 1915 Pan-Pacific (Both perf. 12 & perf. 10), plus White Plains souvenir sheet, the Airmails are complete, condition is rough on the early issues and some of the early mint items are questionable, however this is a nice collection which should be viewed to be appreciated.
Estimate    $4,000 - 6,000.

Lot 2401    

United States Collection, 1847-2000, strong collection on Scott National pages in two binders, used up to about the 1920's, mint thereafter, Better used includes 1, 2 (faults), 7, 9, 14-15, 17, 29, 30A, 165-66, 191, 218, 229, 242 and 244, both with clean certs, 277-78, 291-93, 312, nice W-F coils and pairs, 458 pair with cert, Kansas-Nebraska sets. Almost all mint from #620-21 on, including. 630 S/S MNH, Farley pairs, 803-834, 839-851 pairs, 1053, and on to year 2000 essentially complete, Airs include used C1-6 and C13-15 Zeppelins, rest mint, some Dues and used Q1-12. All neatly mounted, most F-VF or better, some faults but better than usual collection.

United States Mint Balance, 1847-1940's, over 65 good to better singles and multiples on identified on stockpages in binder; starting with #1 trial color and nice used (only used in group), #3P4, run of blocks including #65 block of six, #113 block of 4, Pan-Am 1¢ & 2¢ plate blocks and 5¢ plate strip, #314 plate block, #324 plate block, 1909 2¢ red plate blocks, Washington-Franklin plate blocks including n.h., White Plains sheet, Airmail including Zepps and #C18 including plate block, other back-of-the-book multiples, some other singles including 2¢ Silkote, 1890's imperfs on stamp paper, page of essays, etc.; interesting mix of material, worth review.

United States Mint & Used Accumulation, 1847-1930, small misc. accumulation in three small counter books and one small box, wide variety of material is present including some useful Freaks and Errors which includes two #505 (One in Error block of 9 & One in Error block of 6), additionally there are some nice mint blocks of 4 including #24, #26, 3¢ & 4¢ Columbian, 5¢ Jamestown block, plus some useful mint & used 19th Century.
