Canadian Provinces, Collection, nice assembly of issues on pages in Scott album, including shades, varieties, many blocks, etc.; starting with British Columbia & Vancouver Island with mint #2 x2, 5-9 & 11 with some used including #16, New Brunswick with rare unused #1 rebacked over flaws as well as used, later 1860 issues with shades and four #9 corner margin blocks of four (for each corner), Newfoundland with mint 1857 issues including #1 x2, 3 x2, 5 & 8, mint 1860 issues including 11, 11A x4 & 12A, some used including four margin #13, mint completion in 1861-62 issues including 1d & 5d shades, the 1865-94 complete nearly all mint including additional shades and a few multiples, later regular issues virtually complete mint lacking only a few issues with additional array of varieties including 1910 Guy issue, 1920 3¢ on 15¢ varieties, 1932-37 imperf pairs & blocks, with later blocks including plate blocks, Airmails including mint #C2, C2a, C3, C3b, C3f, C12, C13a x2 & C18, also the unissued $1 Transatlantic issue complete sheet and OX1 mint, Nova Scotia with #1 used x2, selection of 3d issues in shades including mint, host of 1860-63 issues including imprint singles, imprint blocks, #8b, etc., and Prince Edward Island starting with #1 used x2 in shades, later mint issues including imperf pairs #4b, 6b & 9a, and additional mint perf and plate varieties; nice material throughout, strong in n.h. and condition well above the norm overall.

Canadian Provinces, Stock, housed in glassines with modest to slightly heavy duplication throughout; mainly Newfoundland with some good early issues mixed */o and strong in later commemoratives and definitives, useful airmails, also a selection of New Brunswick (mint mostly n.g.), later Nova Scotia, and a nice showing of P.E.I.

Canada, Collection, 1851-1957, extensive assembly of issues on pages in Scott album, including shades, varieties, blocks including plate no.'s, etc.; starting with four margin #2 (with cert) with additional proof pair, selection of over a dozen #4's with paper and color types virtually all four margin, #5 x3 one with cert, four margin #8, #11 x2, 1859-64 issues mostly in modest to moderate duplication and a few unused items, few proofs, Large Queens with similar duplication including 1¢ watermark x3 (one with cert.), selection of 15¢ shades including mint o.g. deep blue (#30e), Small Queen issues complete mostly mint with additional used shades, imperf pairs, cancel studies, some mint shades, few blocks, etc., 1897 Jubilee issue complete mint with additional */o up to the 50¢ with shades, 1897 & 1898 Widowheads complete mint with additional shades, proofs, multiples including many plate strips, etc., Tercentenary issue complete n.h. with additional variety, #135i block of 9 n.h., 1903 KEVI complete mint (and better centered then normal), completion in the following KGV definitives with additional shades, booklets, coils, plate strips and blocks, lathework singles and block, later commemoratives and definitives complete to virtually complete with similar variety including imperf pairs, imperf between, etc., airmails complete including C1i swollen breast variety in plate block, registry issues with additional shades, deliveries and dues, War Tax, Official seals and Officials; nice material throughout, strong in n.h. and condition well above the norm overall.

Canada, Mint Collection, 1851-1977, housed in one White Ace binder; the collection starts with a nice range of the 19th Century Issues including the 1897 Jubilees Complete, and is virtually complete from the 20th Century onwards, includes a fine showing of the Back of the Book Issues, condition is mixed, particularly on the early issues, some of the early mint items are questionable, however this is a nice collection which should be viewed to be appreciated.
Estimate    $3,000 - 4,000.

Canada, Collection, 1851-1989, housed in two Harris albums and large binder; starting with a #4 pair used, 1858 ½d & 3d used, 1859 denominations represented with some duplication, large & small Queens with later mint and additional shade study, Jubilees mint to the $1 and $2 used, 1897-98 Widowheads complete mint, 1908 Tercentenary complete mint, KGV definitives complete with additional mint and parallel used, later mint completion including 1928-29 set complete mint including 50¢ Bluenose & $1 Parliament, with later good sets present, nice showing of back-of-the-book and additional material in binder; worth proper review.

Lot 2608 /o   

Canada, Collection, mint & used collection housed in 3 Lighthouse Hingeless Albums with slipcases, sparse and mainly used in the 19th Century, however many better mint singles and sets can be found including 1897 Jubilees including the 50¢, $1 and $2, the collection is virtually complete mint from there on with many never hinged stamps, overall condition is very good (a couple of regummed stamps are noted on the early mint items, but most are legitimate o.g., n.h.), careful inspection is highly recommended as the is a wealth of material here.
