A RARE CONJUNCTIVE WESTERN AND EASTERN EXPRESS USE FROM SAN FRANCISCO TO ILLINOIS.

Cover was sent via Adams Express by ship via Panama to New York, then by railroad to Chicago by Adams Eastern Express, George Smith & Co., Adams' Chicago agent turned over to Burbank & Fawcette for railroad and stagecoach service to Mt. Carroll, Illinois.
