Hawaii, 1890's Republic of Hawaii, Department of Finance letterhead, red "Specimen" overprint, medium sans-serif type, with security punch holes, with printed Hawaiian seal, dateline and boxed "Return To Issue Room. To be held for reference" handstamp; small corner flaws, otherwise Very Fine, believed to be one of three known examples.

Hawaii, 1886, $5 Elua Dala "Essay" in blue, bogus issue made for Jeffreys of London, full imperforate sheet, few small tone spots and hinge thin at top of sheet not affecting stamp, F.-V.F., with only 1,000 impressions produced.
