Two errors of the 1893 Provisional Government Overprint Issues were made. One sheet of the 10¢ Red Brown, normally overprinted in black, was overprinted in red (Scott 61B) and one sheet of the 6¢ Green, normally overprinted in red, was overprinted in black (Scott 66C). Most of the 10¢ examples from the only sheet of fifty produced, are centered into the perforations at top. It is believed that eight examples were destroyed from the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and that less than forty examples are in existence.
