Scarce on a Review of Reviews cover.

1912, 2¢ carmine, S.L. watermark, Schermack type III perfs, paste-up single with brown Mailometer test stamp, strip of three (TD14, TD14a) at left, stamp n.h. and labels hinged, imperforate between with Schermack perf at right, center label with small tear at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, an extremely rare coil leader single with Mailometer test stamp strip used as leader; with 2005 P.F. certificate.
Scott No. 409    Estimate $1,000 - 1,500.

According to Belasco, these test coils were attached as leaders to rolls to be started through the machines avoiding wasting the stamps.
