1927, 3¢ Lincoln & 10¢ Monroe, rotary press printing, singles tied by two strikes of "Washington D.C., Feb 3, 1927" First Day of Issue duplex postmark on locally addressed special delivery cover, serviced by Hammelman with "Washington, D.C., Special Del., Feb 3, 1927" duplex on reverse, delivered to the U.S. Patent Office with oval "Captain of the Watch, Feb 3, 1927, 8:10 P.M." handstamp additionally tying stamps; light edge toning at left edge, Very Fine, an extremely rare First Day combination, with only a small handful known.

Sta., Mar 24, 1927" First Day of Issue duplex postmark on special delivery cover, serviced by Albert E. Gorham (embossed corner card on backflap) sent to Hugh M. Clark of Scott Stamp & Coin Co.: some minor corner cover wear, otherwise Very Fine.

A number of values from the last rotary press issue were issued at the Philatelic Agency on the same days, but combination covers are surprisingly scarce, some do not even exist, this one is especially scarce with the Navy Department station cancel.
