May 17" cds on circa 1846 manila entire addressed to Miss Susan Julia Mayer in Reading Pa.; couple small toned spots top right, backflap reattached with small part repaired, Very Fine and rare; with 2008 P.F. certificate.

New York, N.Y., 1846, 5¢ black on bluish, signed "ACM" connected, Pos. 26 and 27, each with natural pre-printing paper fold, large margins all around, used on cover to Lakeville, Conn., pos. 26 canceled by blue ms. squiggle, red "New-York '5 cts' 23 Nov" cds; pos. 27 tied by red square open grid, matching "New-York '5 cts.' 29 Dec" cds; each with wax seal stain at center, otherwise Very Fine and scarce early envelope uses.
