1857, 3¢ dull red, type III, double transfer and line through "Postage" and "Three Cents", position 87R15, strong impression clearly showing variety, tied by large "Paid" grid and red "Boston Ms., Mar 14, 1859" cds on folded letter to Greenfield Mass., oval corner card handstamp, Very Fine and rare, the key plate variety of the 1857 issue.
