1851, 1¢ blue, type Ia, exceptionally fresh with rich color and a partial Mobile, Ala. town cancel; large top & right margins; bottom big enough to clearly show full ornament at lower right, just cut in at left, F.-V.F.; with 1998 P.S.E. certificate noting a tiny scissors cut in top margin, which has subsequently been trimmed out.

A true showpiece.
