Ryan, Manufacturers of Alcohol Camphine and Burning Fluid" cameo, and Boston, Mass. green illustrated "Carhart's Patent Melodeon" corner card showing Melodeon, and Millersville, Pa. blue illustrated The Lancaster County Normal Institute showing Institute View, with enclosure with matching illustrated letterhead in brown, straddle pane single #26 use from Pottsdam, N.Y. with blue illustrated "Brown & Co." merchant corner card showing Horse & Wagon View, two #65 usages with one from Phelps, N.Y. with fancy circle of wedges tying and blue C. & L. B. Hotchkiss Bankers corner card, and 1863 Philadelphia, Pa. tying on blue illustrated French, Richards & Co. cameo showing "Warehouse View" with additional ad text on front and reverse; only one cover (Potsdam) with small edge tear at top of cover, Extremely Fine overall.

Coontz, Iron Founder and Machinist, Winchester Va., blue shield illustrated cameo design showing machinery on light buff cover bearing 3¢ dull red (11A), plate 3 showing recut UL triangle, large margins except touched at top, tied by sharp "Winchester Va., Aug 9" cds to Middleburg Va., Extremely Fine and choice.

(Hotels) La Pierre House, Philadelphia, Pa., two covers with blue shield cameo-style corner card, first bearing Great Britain, 1d red, creased, tied by "Philadelphia, Pa., Oct 7, 1855" octagon d.s. to New York endorsed "Paid" and apparently accepted as fully prepaid, other bearing 3¢ dull red (26) tied by "Philadelphia, Pa., Dec 30, 1858" octagon date stamp to Providence, R.I. (ex-Knapp), Very Fine and unusual use.
