The William T. Crowe certificate reads in part…"The stamp is tied by a superb strike of the fancy Circle of Six Hearts cancellation. The Crowe census has recorded only five examples of this cancellation on cover used between Feb 1 and May 12 1869. Unlike the other four covers this strike shows the negative letters inside the hearts (not noted by Rohloff)." .

Lot 2063North South Handshake of Worcester, Mass., clear bold strike with handshake clearly visible, duplexed with "Worcester Mass., Jan 19" cds on 1¢ black (UX5) postal card to Providence, R.I., card with trivial internal crease, a Superb strike, many examples of this type of usage have the fancy cancel directly over indicia obscuring the details in the cancel, this strike, mostly off the indicia, is quite striking; with 2022 P.S.E. certificate.
