1861, 10¢ green, tied by "San Francisco, Cal., Jan 19" cds on cover from British Columbia to San Francisco, additionally franked with B.C. & V.I., 1865, 3d blue, horizontal strip of 3 (7, clipped perfs) overlapped by U.S. 10¢, canceled by barred "10" oval handstamps of Williams Creek; cover slightly reduced at left, Very Fine, a marvelous and very scarce combination usage; with 1988 P.F. certificate.

1861, 10¢ green, horiz. pair, small flaws, tied by New York Foreign Mail Grid cancels on 1869 folded letter from New York N.Y. to Manzanillo, Cuba gray folded letter, carried as endorsed by "Fah Kee" via Santiago de Cuba, Manzanillo (11.12) arrival backstamp, black "CVBA" straightline on flap and matching "2" Real due handstamp, Very Fine use at two-times the 10¢ rate from New York via Bermuda to Cuba.

ONE OF LESS THAN 10 STRIKES RECORDED OF THE "CVBA" STRAIGHTLINE.

Instead of the "NA" handstamp for Norte America, St. Jago de Cuba struck a "CVBA" handstamp (Cuba) from 1866 to 1872.

1861, 12¢ black, slightly overlapping on fresh cover to London, England, tied by two strikes of fancy Stars in Shield in Circle handstamps with matching "Sacramento, Cal., Jan 13, 1866" cds alongside, light red "New York, Am. Pkt., 3, Feb 10" exchange cds and London entry date stamp; small expertly repaired edge nick at top, otherwise Very Fine, a very rare foreign usage bearing this fancy Sacramento cancellation, ex-Kramer. Skinner-Eno No. PS-FC 52.

'Paid 19' Sep. 15" credit cds, carried by Cunard Line Africa from Boston Sep. 16th to Queenstown arriving Sep. 25th, red London Paid (9.26) arrival cds, Extremely Fine, a beautiful usage with a gorgeous stamp and perfectly-struck markings; with 2006 P.F. certificate.
