Official Seal - Typeset, black on dark brown red, large margins, manuscript "Aug 18" and signed, paper adherences to back with thin spot and the usual horizontal crease, still striking and Fine, illustrated in Scott Catalogue where noted, "No. LOX27 is valued with crease and small flaws", the only recorded example and illustrated in Scott, ex-Hopkins, Lyons, Richardson; with 1973 P.F. certificate.
Scott Nos. LOX27    $1,350.

Based on typeface and setting, this typeset seal probably dates from the 1870s. It is among the earliest designs.

Official Seal - Typeset, red on cream, Alton Bay N.H., large, balanced margins, lovely color, thin spot and light diagonal crease, Extremely Fine appearance, the unique listing example of perhaps the most beautiful of the typeset seals, ex-Lyons, Richardson.
