Mauritius, 1848-59, "Post Paid", 2d deep blue, early intermediate impression, Position 12, cleaned cancel (appears unused), ample to large margins, rich bold color on bright paper, Very Fine; with 1938 & 2022 B.P.A. certificates (as Unused). Scott Nos. 4b var.

A SOUND USED EXAMPLE OF THE 2D "POST PAID" ISSUE FROM THE EARLY STAGE OF THE INTERMEDIATE IMPRESSION.

The two certificates call this unused, however when using retro-reveal a cancellation is clearly evident.
