Philippines, Cover Group, group of about 53 covers, numerous stampless with 1831 Manila to France; 1848 Manila to Spain; Overland mail route to India 1840 from Manila to London; 1831 Manila to Paris; incoming 1852 New York to Manila, folded letter addressed to Captain on the bark Ceres, with red "Via Southampton" handstamp, red "London, Paid, 19 Feb, 1852" cds and "1/4" rating, reverse with light Hong Kong transit cds and red "Forwarded By Russel & Sturis, Manila" oval handstamp (PF cert); 1835 privately carried to Boston; adhesive covers includes; 1883, 2r on 2-4/8c Ultramarine (94), 36 stamps mostly in a large multiple, 12 stamps with inverted surcharge and one with double surcharge, on 1883 telegraph receipt, used with 2 Peso green Telegraph, Nos. 68, 78 and strip of three of No. 76, canceled with typical hole punch, plus 8 others; 1883 four color franking 1883 to Angola (no receiving markings); 1864 31½c black on yellow (two), also 12½c blue on salmon, three covers or folded letters, one with oval "Dist. de Capiz" departure postmark, others with grids or oval postmark, used 1864-65 to Manila, with arrival postmarks; 1856 1r gray green, two singles, each with three margins, touching at bottom, or cut in at right, tied by oval grids on cover to Bilbao, Spain, with Manila 25 Dec. 1861 departure and Bilbao 17 Feb. 62 arrival postmarks; 1869 Manila to Madrid with 12 4/8 (Scott #37), surcharge; 1870 Manila to Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain with two 6 2/8c (Scott #36) surcharges; 1874, 62c Rose (50), tied by neat strike of parilla handstamp on large part of folded cover to Badajoz, Spain, neat "Manila 3 AGO 75" double-circle datestamp (very few covers are known with this stamp which paid the 62c single-weight rate to Spain and Colonies); Philippines #178, mourning cover with Manila,13 Jul 1898 indistinct purple straight-line strike ties 25c stamp to envelope with Black Mourning Border, addressed locally, reverse with clear Mil. Sta. No. 1 Manila Philippines, received Ty #CE-2 strike (very scarce), etc., lot needs careful inspection, usual condition for this period, includes many bought as individual lots out of various auctions (no photo).

Philippines, 1868-74 "HABILITADO POR LA NACION." Overprinted Issue Specialized Collection, collection neatly arranged on stock sheets and with array of mint and used, varieties including shades, multiples, cancels, etc., among the many highlights note (Scott numbers) 28 pair mint, one stamp without overprint, block of four mint, 30 block of four unused (ex-Tows), 31 unused and used, 32 unused and used, 36 top margin single with part imprint, top margin block of twelve with imprint mint (quite rare; faults), etc., plus page of reprints, usual mixed condition, Fine for this, an exceptional collection of these difficult issues, ex-Peterson (no photo).

Philippines, Spanish Philippines Extensive Balance Collection, hundreds mint and used mounted on Scott pages, virtually complete with additional copies including. shades, varieties, proofs, plate flaws, mint blocks, includes 8 certificates, stationery, 1898 Issue overprinted "Muestra", 1898-99 Provisional Issues including Bohol single, La Union selection, Panay 4c, Zamboanga selection, 1943 USAFFE 2c, 4c values, Newspapers complete, perfins, surcharge varieties, registration cancels, and 41 forgeries on page, better than normal condition for this popular country, F.-V.F. overall, rarely seen this extensive, virtually all more expensive items bought from auctions, all singles lots in the auction are from this collection (no photo).

Philippines, Collector's Balance, hundreds mostly mint starting with the imperforates in full stockbook, also later with some duplication with shades, overprints, Newspapers, a few Revenues, including certified #1 used (2), #4, 1128 copies of #145 used, 20 mint, rarely seen area, usual condition, formed over many years from purchases that did not make it into the main collection (no photo).

Philippines, Independent complete collection Mint to 2011, in 7 K-Line albums including all sorts of conceivable errors, imperfs, perf shifts, Internal Revenue punched hole specimen values including errors, Ramon Magsaysay autographed photo, provisional overprints, plate flaws, 1968 unissued JFK and Olympic sets, Scott #537a variety 2c booklet pane with Specimen overprint, souvenir cards, later sheetlets, Christmas Seals, etc., later new issues to 2019 still in retail packets along with pages, immaculate and Very Fine, the most complete Independent collection we have seen (no photo).
