1867, 3¢ rose, A. grill, surprisingly well centered with only a couple of blunt perfs, cancelled by segmented cork cancel on cover with "Leavenworth, Kans. Aug 21" cds alongside, addressed to North San Juan, Cal., cover forwarded to Marysville with "North San Juan, Cal. Sep 21" forwarding cds, Extremely Fine; with 2000 P.F. certificate.

ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THIS VERY DIFFICULT STAMP ON COVER. TYPICALLY THESE ALL-OVER GRILLS WOULD RESULT IN A BADLY DEFECT STAMP.
