City Despatch Post, 1847-50, 2¢ black on green, "C" at right inverted, roughly separated and defective, still with inverted "C" clearly visible, tied by criss-cross manuscript cancels on local street addressed cover, Fine, this being one of two known examples of the inverted "C" variety on green paper and the unique on cover example; with 2018 P.F. certificate.

Type I, circular mark, incredibly detailed perfectly impressed at bottom left on folded letter datelined "Philadelphia Mar. 14, 1836" to Reverend Alexander McGill in Carlisle Penn., postmarked red "Phila 14 Mar." in octagonal frame, manuscript "Paid 12½" rate marking; trivial cover tear at top & some edge splits, Extremely Fine, ex-S. Brown, Gibson, Meroni & V. Morris; with 1999 P.F. certificate.

Sunday School Postage (Philadelphia, Pa.), 1874, red, group of six covers bear this red "Postage" label, most addressed to Mrs Martin (Sunday school teacher) at the Sunday School Post Office, four canceled with blue circular "Sunday School, First City Baptist" handstamp, one pencil canceled and one (preprinted with matching enclosure) with black "Sunday School, Post Office" circular handstamp, also includes an additional off cover stamp, F.-V.F., a very scarce group.
