Becker & Co.'s Express, Roses Bar, oval handstamp (BEK-100c) on cover front addressed to French Corral, with manuscript "Forwarded by Beckers Post" endorsement at bottom, Very Fine for this, this being the Only Known Example of the Becker & Co.'s Express Handstamp From Roses Bar.Estimate $750 - 1,000.
Becker & Co.'s Express was a short-lived one-man's express that extended from Marysville to French Corral. Only three handstamps are known from this company all from different towns. They include this example from Roses Bar, an example on cover from Landers Bar and a cut out of handstamp from Union Bar.

Hinckley & Co.'s Express Mail, printed scroll frank (HIN-001) with large St. Joseph in care directive imprint below (HIN-401), on 1860, 3¢ Star Die entire to Claremont, N.H., "Hinckley & Co.'s Express, Denver City, Mar 18, 1861" origin cds (HIN-100) and entered the mails with green "Saint Joseph, Mo., Mar 25, 1861" cds, with original enclosure from Golden City, C.T. datelined "High Bar District, March 11, 1861" with some interesting content…We have the Inaugural Address of President Lincoln…which is looked for with considerable interest. It is generally believed that there will be no dissolution of the Union or that the breach will be settled by compromised or otherwise, mentions mining claim and other details around Golden City, Very Fine and choice, ex-Emerson & Jessup.Scott Nos.
