France, 1867, Napoleon III Laureate, 30c brown on yellowish, 1872 cover from Scotland franked with Great Britain 1d red strip of 3 (Pl. 149) addressed to Paris and redirected to Bern, Switzerland, franked with France 30c brown tied by large numeral losange cancel, numerous marking including Insufficently Paid, both in English & French, boxed Trouve à la Boite (Found in the Box), Very Fine and nice usage; signed Calves. Steamship 10" due handstamp, cover postmarked with Danish West Indies cds of "St. Thomas" with blue oval forwarder handstamp "G.W. Smith & Co.", cover with unnoticeable spindle hold at center (well away from adhesives), Extremely Fine. Yvert Nos. 48.
