Nepal, 1907-1935 The Sri Pashupati Exhibition Collection of the Perkins-Bacon Printings, displayed by issues/printings including die proofs, plate proofs and the issued stamps in multiples, covers illustrating usages/postal rates, and telegraph uses, Includes: 1907 2 pice die proof in green with blank corners; 1907 combination cover with 1901-1907 1a RECUT and three 8p scarlet SRI PASHUPATI values from Okhaldhunga to Kathmandu (one of 8 combinations recorded); 1908 Nepal-India combination cover from Hanumannagar to Kathmandu VIA INDIAN(!) Raxaul railway then to Kathmandu; 1938 India-Nepal mixed franking 2p Pashupati postal card to England; 1938 cover from Kathmandu to Jogbani, India addressed to "Col. F. M. Bailey", also including a few loose covers not incorporated into exhibit, condition well above average since only "exhibit" quality items selected for inclusion, F.-V.F. or Very Fine, An excellent opportunity to acquire a foundation collection for a future world class exhibit. Nepal, 1941-1946: The Locally-Printed Pashupati Designs Exhibition Collection, including a selection of the ca.1940 Experimental Negative Proofs of the 2, 4, 8 and 16p values made from the original 1907 Perkins-Bacon engraving plates stored in the Kathmandu treasury (about 10 sheets of 100 were printed); wide range of shade, print/perf varieties and examples with margin inscriptions showing the various settings; covers including combination frankings with earlier Perkins-Bacon issues, or India, or Tibet; 1960 registered cover with 58p triple letter rate franked with large block of 2p value; early Nepal-India Himalayan expedition combination cover addressed to USA, generally F.-V.F., A scarce offering of a comprehensive collection of this neglected area of Nepalese philately.
