Charleston, S.C., Honour's City Express, 1851-58, 2¢ black on bluish, margins large showing portion of adjacent stamp at top to slightly into corner ornament at bottom left, canceled by pencil 2 on local street addressed cover, "May 9th 1852" docketing, Very Fine, a very rare local usage which is unlisted in Scott, only a few such example are known; with 2019 P.F. certificate.

New York, N.Y., U.S. City Despatch Post, 1842-45, 3¢ black on blue, large margins and a few usual surface cracks, canceled by two strikes of red "U.S." in octagon handstamp on 1845 locally addressed folded letter, matching "U.S. City Despatch Post, Jun 20, 4 O'Clock" cds, letter with interesting content seeking position for a former Revolutionary War officer who has fallen on hard times, the officer being the nephew of Gov. George Clinton and was with him in almost all the engagements during the war, Very Fine; with 2014 P.F. certificate.

(cover edge flaws), and Mortar and Pestle shaped druggist corner card cover franked with #26; some small flaws, F.-V.F. or better.
