Little Rock, Arks, Nov 29, exceptional bold strike of cds on 1832 folded letter to Gettysburg, Pa., with matching "Free" handstamp and "W. Field, PM." postmaster free frank below; some edge wear and light staining, an Extremely Fine gem strike, William Field replaced Dr. john Fulton as postmaster of Little Rock on December 28th, 1831.

St. Francis, A.T., June 2nd, 1833, manuscript postmark on folded letter sheet to the Third Auditor of the Treasury in Washington D.C., with manuscript "25" rate crossed out and endorsed "Free" due to free franking privilege to a Treasury official; minor cover nick at top center, Very Fine, a rare postmark as the St. Francis post office serviced a little over 1,500 residents in the county in 1830.
