Fiji, 1906, King Edward VII, 1d red, watermarked Multiple Crown CA, tied by "G.P.O. Suva, Fiji, 29 Apr, 08" cds's on picture post card (Fijian war dance) to Queensland, purple "S.S. Suva" handstamp with manuscript "Suva 29/4/08" below, Very Fine. SG No. 119.
Scott No. 72    Estimate $600 - 800.

The S. Suva was a passenger and freight ship transporting bananas between Fiji and Australia. The ship was requisitioned by the Royal Navy in July 1915 serving in WWI.
