Great Britain, 1855, Queen Victoria, 4d carmine on deeply blued paper, imperforate imprimatur, Small Garter watermark, without gum, incredibly fresh with gorgeous color, good margins except just clear at top right, F.-V.F. An outstanding example of this very rare imprimatur; very few are in private hands. S.G. Spec. No. J47(1) imprimatur £8,500 ($10,710).
