Mexico, Orizava, 1861, 2r black on pink, right margin single, small district overprint, tied by Orizava oval handstamp (Schatzkes 298) used provisionally in 1867 on folded letter sheet to Puebla, Very Fine, believed to be the only reported small district overprint seen on a provisional cover.

Mexico, Orizava, 1861, 2r black on pink, large district overprint, tied by Orizava oval handstamp (Schatzkes 298) used provisionally in 1867 on folded letter sheet to Puebla, Very Fine, the 1861 stamps were demonetized in 1864 with the Eagle issue, however a few districts used leftovers in 1867 and 1868.

Mexico, Orizava, 1861, 4r black on yellow, neat Orizava oval handstamp (Schatzkes 1094) used provisionally in 1867-68, large margins, Extremely Fine, the 1861 stamps were demonetized in 1864 with the Eagle issue, however a few districts used left overs in 1867 and 1868 (NF $500), ex-Mazepa.

Mexico, Saltillo, 1861, 4r black on yellow, diagonal bisect, upper right portion of stamp showing part of district overprint, tied by oval Saltillo date stamp (Schatzkes 1355) on folded letter sheet to San Luis Potosi, Very Fine, in April 1861, Saltillo was sent only 510 2r stamps and by June they had exhausted the supply and began to bisect the 4r stamp.
