Great Britain, 1840, Mulready Letter Sheet, 1d black, Ordering 1d & 2d "Labels", stereo A 50 from Wincanton to London; canceled with superb red Maltese Cross and matching "Wincanton Ju 9, 1840" cds, backstamped with "G Ju 10 1840" receiving datestamp of London, addressed to "The Honbe Board of Commissioners of Stamps & Taxes, Somerset House, London" and written "Gentm, Please forward me 10 Sheets Penny Labels, 2 Sheets Two Penny", Extremely Fine and choice, very rare this nice.

Great Britain, 1840, Queen Victoria First Issue, 1d black, with four margins, close at top and bottom, tied on 1841 cover from Spalding to London with black Maltese Cross; superb strike of two line "Donnington-Lincoln 3, Penny Post", backstamped "Spalding Mr 3, 1841" and red London receiving mark of the following day, Very Fine, an appealing cover.
