1916, 2¢ carmine, type II, unwatermarked, horizontal rotary press coil, two pairs and single, used with 2¢ rose (499), all tied by multiple strikes of "Lansing, Mich. Jun 23, 1917" duplex on special delivery cover to Detroit, Mich., purple "Special Delivery" straightline, Jun. 24th arrival backstamp; coils lifted and hinged in place to check watermark, right coil with tear and crease, pairs with s.e. at right, a Very Fine use, ex-Siskin; with 2000 P.F. certificate.
