Mexico, 1861 Hidalgo Issue Better Selection, high-quality balance of a large gold collection, 14 stamps a quadrisect on piece and three very attractive covers, stamps include two different 2r black on rose used without overprints and cancels from the French intervention; a piece with 1r and 2r from the Tuxpan direct shipment, a beautiful 8r black used in San Luis Potosi, a lovely pair from Colima, a very rare quadrisect of 8r from Hermosillo on piece, a 4r rose on Yellow from Veracruz with jumbo margins perfectly centered, a 2r Tabasco postal fraud, best cover is from Mazatlan to Durango bearing a beautiful 4r rose on yellow and a 1r green, other two covers are very attractive from Lagos and Mexico, with four MEPSI certificates.Scott No. 6-8, 10-11 Estimate $750 - 1,000.

Mexico, Ribbon Cancels on Eagle Stamps, group of ten eagle stamps and one Maximilian stamp include districts Guaymas, Guadalajara, Puebla, Mexico and Veracruz with the rarely found "Ribbon Cancels" as described by Stout in an article of Mexicana included, they remain scarce for collectors, the Maximilian 25c Schatzkes 838 is most unusual.Estimate $500 - 750.
